Makes me wonder if the artist who is doing it, got his royalties. this is not it. :) Something went wrong with the credits for this song on this CD I believe. That is not Screamin Jay Hawkins doing "I put a spell on you." Someone with a better ear than I needs to listen to it, but I think that is actually Howlin Wolf (the great Blues Singer from the Chess Records days), who I believe wrote the song in the first place.So just in case someone is looking for the Screamin Jay Hawkins version of this song.
I used this CD so much at my halloween party that I could not even find the case for a long while because people were passing it around reading it. This CD is awsome with the ORIGIONAL Bobby Pritchett Monster Mash song on it. Also, there are many other great songs.
A fun CD for Halloween Parties. I ordered the CD for our Halloween Party at our Senior Club, the songs were a bit of nostalgia for some of our members.
During Halloween, I play this CD as kids arrive at the door to trick 'r treat. Rhino offers a nice collection of nostalgic Halloween novelty songs by the original artists.
They are "The Blob", "I Put a Spell on You", "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", and "Martian Hop". It's pretty strange and impossible to dance to. This is a good Halloween CD. "Twilight Zone" is out of place and probably shouldn't have been put on this CD. Overall, I'm satisfied with it, but not blown away. My favorites are "Monster Mash", "Haunted House", "Ghostbusters", "The Purple People Eater", and "The Adams Family". Four of the remaining songs are somewhat tolerable.
